Installing the Biometric Fingerprint Module

The Workstation 6 Series supports an optional biometric fingerprint module. The hex key is required for installation.
  1. Use the hex key to remove the screws from the top cover.

  2. Remove the top cover.

  3. Place the top cover in the position shown below.

  4. Loosen the screw to remove the dummy biometric cover.

  5. Insert the biometric module into the opening and connect the micro USB connector to the main PCB.

  6. Insert and tighten the screw to secure the biometric module.

  7. Close the top cover. Make sure the wires are not clamped by the cover.
  8. Use the hex key to reinsert the screws and to secure the top cover.

    The figure shows how to use the hex key to tighten the screws in the top cover of the Workstation 6.
