The SPO plug-in enables you to specify the partition dimension, escalation levels, and generation ID count. Using that data, the plug-in generates the appropriate intersections, measures, rule groups, rules, and workbooks.
From the RPAS Configuration Tools, select Automation from the menu bar, then SizeOpt, and then Specify Parameters. The SizeOpt Params window is displayed.
Table 9-1 describes the fields in this window.
Table 9-1 Fields in the SizeOpt Params Window
Name | Description |
---|---|
Title Bar |
Title of the window. |
Button Bar |
The following buttons are available:
|
Grid Area |
Displays the escalation levels. The data is displayed in the following columns:
|
Number of Generation IDs |
Accepts a positive integer in the range 1 to 35 for the number of generation IDs. |
Max Number of Clusters |
Use this field to specify the maximum number of clusters that are to be configured in the domain. |
Point Of Sale Intersection |
Displays the Select Intersection dialog window. |
Escalation Path Override Level |
Use this field to specify the level at which the escalation paths are to be maintained. |
Clustering Workbook Intersection |
Use this field to specify the intersection of the Clustering workbook. |
From the RPAS Configuration Tools, select Automation from the menu bar, then SizeOpt, and then Specify Parameters. The Size Opt Params window is displayed. See Figure 9-1. The following sections outline the process for configuring SPO.
To change the POS intersection, perform the following steps:
Click the intersection. The Select Intersection window is displayed.
Using the list options, set the intersection. When finished, click OK.
For more information on setting intersections, see the Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server Configuration Tools User Guide.
The default setting for preprocessing filtering in SPO is executed for only fashion items. It ignores all basic items. If you want to use preprocessing for basic items, configure preprocessing to mimic the logic existing in RDF. Alternatively, preprocessed data can be directly loaded from RDF.
To configure the escalation levels, perform the following steps:
To add an escalation level, perform the following steps:
Click the Add icon in the SizeOpt Params window. A new entry is added in the grid area.
Enter the label for the escalation level.
To set the escalation level intersection, click the intersection. The Select Intersection window is displayed.
Using the list options, set the intersection. Click OK.
For more information on setting intersections, see the Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server Configuration Tools User Guide.
To modify the intersection for an escalation level, perform the following steps:
In the grid area, click the intersection of the escalation level to be modified. The Select Intersection window is displayed.
Using the list options, set the intersection. Click OK.
For more information on setting intersections, see the Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server Configuration Tools User Guide.
To delete an escalation level, perform the following steps:
In the grid area, select the escalation level to be deleted from the configuration.
Click the Delete icon.
To add a generation ID, enter a positive integer for the generation ID in the Number of Generation IDs box in the SizeOpt Params window. The valid range for the generation ID is 1 to 35.
To add the number of clusters, enter a positive integer in the Max Number of Clusters box in the SizeOpt Params window. The allowed number of clusters is between 1 and 99. In addition, the Junk Cluster is automatically generated.
Specify the minimum hierarchy or the level at which the escalation levels has to be maintained in the Escalation Path Override Level box in the SizeOpt Params window.
To change the Clustering workbook intersection, perform the following steps:
On the SizeOpt Params window, click the Clustering Workbook Intersection button. The Select Intersection window is displayed.
Using the list options, set the intersection. When finished, click OK.
For more information on setting intersections, see the Oracle Retail Predictive Application Server Configuration Tools User Guide.
The following is the process, by which the system automatically generates the intersections, measures, rules, and workbook templates that are required by SPO to support the configuration entered in the SPO plug-in:
In the SizeOpt Params window, click the OK icon.
The system automatically generates the following:
Intersections – All intersections necessary to support the base SPO solution are created.
Measures – All measures necessary to support the base SPO solution are created.
Rules – All rules and rule groups to support the base SPO solution are created.
Workbook Templates – All pre-defined workbook templates to support the base SPO solution are created.
You can continue to make changes to the SPO plug-in configuration, and the autogeneration process can be repeated as often as needed prior to the installation.
From the RPAS Configuration tools, select the Taskflow tab.
Click Gen Default.
Click Empty Group Label, and replace the text with Size Profile Optimization.
Click Size Profile Approval, and select the Dynamic Task check box.
Select each of the <Level xxx> tab, in the custom menu - selected box, remove all entries that are not for this level, for example, for level 01, remove level 02,03,...,10.
