JDE STILL SYSTEM OF RECORD FOR HYBRID LASERTECH

Laser Technology, Inc. (LTI) is the proven market leader in pulsed laser measurement technology since 1986. We have been engineering, manufacturing and selling laser technology since 1986 and are currently celebrating our 30th year in business. Based in Colorado, LTI produces laser measurement instruments for both speed detection and distance measurement. The instruments are used in a diverse range of industries including law enforcement, accident reconstruction, mining, power & utilities, forestry, and OEM system integration. The growth of the company both initiated and warranted the implementation of JD Edwards World solution in 1996, which is when JD Edwards started as the system of record for LTI.

The corporation took a huge leap of faith when we migrated to EnterpriseOne 8.12 in 2009. LTI wanted to keep the trustworthiness of JDE solutions and was one of the first companies to attack the World to EnterpriseOne journey. The importance of keeping our manufacturing work flow continuing without any interruptions was critical for enterprise growth. In 2013, LTI upgraded to the 9’s. The enhancements of 9.1 were an awesome fit and one of the quickest passages for LTI to complete, development to Go-Live in 5 months. We streamlined the menus by introducing E1 Pages for all of our end-users. Each Role has their set of E1 Pages that performs their daily tasks with a click of a button.

Our progression took LTI into new adventures by integrating with Oracle Sales Cloud in 2013, right after the EnterpriseOne upgrade. We wanted to advance our productivity of our JDE system of record with other solutions Oracle had to offer. Oracle Sales Cloud did more than boost sales performance, the automation and visibility helped in forecasting production demands and help drive sales productivity. LTI became a hybrid customer utilizing both “on premise” as well as cloud solutions which complement each other for a noticeable benefit; the result was achieving lean manufacturing.

This year, LTI expanded on future automation goals by adopting Oracle Marketing Cloud, otherwise known more specifically as Oracle Eloqua Cloud Service. The association of the two solutions created an automatic workflow from campaign concept and campaign execution to campaign management. This resulted in exponentially more lead generation that streams directly to Lead and Opportunity management in the Sales Cloud. In addition to our now synced integrated sales and marketing funnels, the two systems now feed the demands in the form of Sales Orders in EnterpriseOne thus creating our ERP requirements.

Oracle Applications Specialist, Vicki Novosad says “Laser Technology, Inc. will continue along the modernization path by introducing bar coding in our Stockroom environment”. “We currently utilize scanners in our Service and Shipping areas, but increasing success with Inventory and Work Order management is what we are striving for next”. “Our overall objective of companywide efficiency is to better serve our customers’ needs” says Vicki.
