Removing a dictionary removes the dictionary schema and all data. When you remove a dictionary schema, all synonym lists, coding definitions, assignment rules, and requests entered against the dictionary are lost and cannot be retrieved.
Caution: Oracle recommends that you do not remove the dictionary schema or delete a dictionary that has been used for coding. Delete only dictionaries that you have set up but have not coded against.

The dictionary remains in the list of Dictionaries. The dictionary status changes to REMOVED.
Note: You must revive this dictionary type before you can use it again to load dictionaries. For more information, see Reviving a dictionary schema.
