Working with Spatial Search

You can use the spatial search functionality in the Global Search to locate projects in or near a particular location. For example, you can enter Projects near New York, NY, USA to find projects located near New York, New York. Projects must be assigned a location to appear in the spatial search.

To use spatial search in the Global Search:

  1. In the Search field at the top of the page, enter your query using these criteria:
    • (optional) The keyword "projects," a project name, or part of a project name.
    • The keyword "near" or "within".
    • Location information. This can include the country, state, city, or a zip code.

    Here are some examples:

    • projects near 19428, USA
    • projects near 19428, USA within 1 mile
    • projects near Conshohocken, pa, USA
    • projects near Conshohocken, pa, USA within 1 mile
    • HVAC Upgrade near 10108, usa
    • HVAC near 10108, usa within 5 m

If you use the "near" keyword without specifying a distance, the program automatically uses the Default Distance provided on the Search tab of the Preferences page. For example, if the default distance is set to 10 miles, then the query projects near 19428, USA will return all projects within 10 miles of the US zip code 19428. After you enter an initial query, you can use the Within list to select a different distance.

Select View on Map to view the search results on a map.

  2. In the list of matches, select a result.

Search Keywords in non-English locales

If Primavera Cloud is set to a non-English locale, then you can't use English words for "project", "near", or "within". You must use the language-specific equivalents. For example, here are some valid example queries in non-English Locales:

French

Spanish

German

Italian
