OBI Self-Service Portlet Stops at Signing In

The Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) Self-Service portlet shows the message Signing In but does not progress. Possible reasons and resolutions include:

  1. Make sure you are not attempting to access Reporting and Analytics from an Oracle Business Intelligence server or a Reporting and Analytics web server. Access from these servers can encounter problems due to security configurations.
  2. Configure the WLST and SOAP credentials for the M super organization. Setting Up the Super Organization contains instructions for these settings.
  3. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, add the Oracle WebLogic and Reporting and Analytics servers to the list of Trusted Sites.
  4. Sync the time on the Oracle Business Intelligence servers and Reporting and Analytics servers.
  5. Match the Published site URL in the WebLogic Console with microsconfig.properties and obieeConfig.properties.
  6. Use the full domain name (https://servername.fulldomainname).
  7. If the OBI and the Reporting and Analytics web applications are not registered with a domain name service, add the IP and hostname of the servers to host file.
