Restore the System from a USB Flash Drive

You can reinstall the software image and reboot the system from a prepared USB flash drive.

• Prepare the USB flash drive with the Acme Packet Boot Media Creator. See "Create the Acme Packet Boot Media."
• Confirm that the system is powered off.

When you insert the prepared USB flash drive into the session border controller and turn the power on, the system automatically installs the boot loader, loads the software image, and reboots.

1. Insert the prepared USB flash drive into the powered off session border controller.
2. Power on the session border controller.
   The system installs the boot loader, loads the software image, and reboots.

Store the USB flash drive in a safe, secure place and note the location in your System Recovery plan.
