Room Maintenance codes may be assigned to rooms when creating a work order that have issues requiring maintenance attention — heat, air conditioning, or plumbing problems, for example. Rooms that have a maintenance code assigned to them may or may not be available for assignment to guests, depending on how you configure the maintenance code.
In a multi-property environment, room maintenance codes are created on the template level and then copied to each property. To be consistent among all hotels in the environment, best practice is to reuse existing codes for new hotels in an existing setup or agree on universal codes for all properties.
