3 Configuration and Deployment

During the installation of RSB, the configuration changes are made in the deployment property file and then compiled. The compilation process will take the configuration details and adds the appropriate configuration details to the deployment units. Following are some of the configuration elements that affect the behavior of RIC.

Applications in scope: This is a comma separated list of retail application in scope. Information displayed by RIC is limited to these applications.

Service WSDLs: If the services are secured, the install process will need the WSDLs during compilation. Security policy information from the WSDLs are extracted to show in RIC. RIC also has the ability to show the contents of the WSDL or ping the services using the information in the WSDL.

RIB Information: If RIB is installed in the same machine as RSB, then RIC can be configured to display RIB configuration information. The RIB configuration information is gathered during RSB compilation and displayed in RIC.
