RIB Context and Integration Models

A Context Model is a vehicle for communicating the systems and relationships between systems. The RIB  context and integration models depict the flows between the RIB attached applications and the business objects used in those flows.

An Integration Model shows the coupling between systems in the context of a perspective. The perspective shown is the RIB and the flows between all of the RIB attached applications.

A RRA Context Model is composed of the following:

  • A Drawing – depicts the systems involved, as well as the relationships between the systems
  • A Narrative – plain-English text that supports the drawing’s content by stating how the systems collaborate, and the systems’ responsibilities
