Release Notes
Release 2.2
E81069-02
August 2017
DIVAnet 2.2 builds on the new architecture and features introduced in release 2.1. DIVAnet 2.2 adds bug fixes and UI enhancements. Legacy DIVAnet (release 1.0 and referred to as the Access Gateway in the DIVArchive installer) is still available. DIVAnet 2.x is configured differently from Legacy DIVAnet 1.0, and therefore not a drop-in replacement.
DIVAnet 2.2 operates with DIVArchive 7.3.1 and later. The DIVAnet 2.1 UI is not compatible with DIVAnet 2.2 services. However, DIVAnet 2.2 will operate with the DIVAnet 2.1 ManagerAdapter. Oracle recommends upgrading all components to the latest release.
DIVAnet 2.2 requires DIVArchive 7.3.1 (minimum) on all sites, and is supported in the Windows and Oracle Linux operating systems.
The following are the feature and functionality enhancements included in DIVAnet 2.2.
You can now query and view assets that had deletes scheduled, but were not executed (for example, a site was offline). You can use the DIVAnet UI to delete the appropriate sites.
You can now use the DIVAnet UI to query and view assets that have encountered checksum verification failures in DIVArchive requests.
DIVAnet 2.2 now supports the getObjectByFilename()
and deleteFile()
API calls. The DIVArchive AMC product uses the getObjectsByFilename()
and deleteFile()
API calls to enable Avid AMC to store and retrieve content through DIVAnet. The workflows supported in this release are limited to those where all desired DIVArchive AMC objects exist on the local site. Replicas of the content can exist and be restored from other sites. DIVAnet supports basic operations using sequences on the local site, but sequence deleted file information is not synchronized to other sites.
If you are upgrading to DIVAnet 2.2 and you plan to use DIVArchive AMC with DIVAnet, you must add DeleteFile
as an additional operation in the Workflow Profile of the ClientAdapter.
Support for displaying and prioritizing DIVArchive 7.5 Cloud media
Database support for the DIVArchive 7.5 Local Delete application
Various minor UI updates
To install DIVAnet 2.2 on either Windows or Linux, refer to the Oracle DIVAnet Installation, Configuration, and Operations Guide in the Oracle DIVAnet 2.2 documentation library.
See the Upgrading DIVAnet section for procedures to upgrade your DIVAnet to release 2.2. Pay particular attention to the updated database upgrade procedures.
