Application describes a JEE application deployed to an application server. It provides access to the application name, the application version as well as the partition name if applicable. In addition, it provides deploymentName and applicationId as defined by WLS

 Application for a partition scoped app with version would look
 like this:
     applicationName  app
     deploymentName    app#version   
     applicationId    app#version$partition
 
 partition scoped app without version:
     applicationName  app
     deploymentName    app
     applicationId    app$partition
 
 domain-scoped app with version:
     applicationName  app
     deploymentName    app#version   
     applicationId    app#version
 
 domain-scoped app without version:
     applicationName  app
     deploymentName    app
     applicationId    app

getDeploymentName

public abstract String getDeploymentName()

The application name at deployment time. This will contain version. example value is application#v2.0

Returns:

The application name at deployment time.

getApplicationId

public abstract String getApplicationId()

The unique name given to the application in the runtime context. This name may include version ID, or other runtime artifacts like partition. For WLS, it has the same value as ComponentInvocationContext.ApplicationId. example value is application#v2.0$partition

Returns:

The unique application identifier

getVersion

public abstract String getVersion()

The application's version if applicable

Returns:

The application's version or null if not applicable

getApplicationName

public abstract String getApplicationName()

For WLS, it has the same value as ComponentInvocationContext.ApplicationName. No version or partition information will be included

Returns:

the simple application name

getPartitionName

public abstract String getPartitionName()

The partition name if applicable

Returns:

The partition name or null if not applicable
