Changing Schema Passwords

Change Password is the second tab of the Database Schema Password Manager. This tab is used to provide ownership of passwords to customers.

To change a schema password:

  1. On the Database Schema Password Manager screen, click ... to map to the TNS file on the local machine.
  2. Click the Connection Name drop-down and select the appropriate schema connection.
  3. Select the schema row for which you wish to change the password.
  4. Click the Change Password tab, and then enter the following information:
    • System User: Enter the database system user name.
    • System Password: Enter the system user password.
    • Schema Name: This is automatically populated with the schema name and is greyed out.
    • Schema Password: Enter the new password for the schema.
    • Expiry Date: If required, enter the new expiration date.
  5. Click Save to complete the password change.
