Acknowledging Partial Receipt of a Samples Transfer

If there is a difference in the received and acknowledged quantities, you have the option either to close the transaction with a discrepancy, or keep the transaction open and mark the transaction as Partially Received.

To acknowledge partial receipt of a samples transfer

1. Navigate to the Samples screen, then the Transaction view.
2. From the view drop-down list, select Received Samples.
3. In the Received Samples list, select the transfer that you want to acknowledge.

   Samples transfers that have not been acknowledged as received show an Invoice Status value of In Progress. Those that have been acknowledged as received show an Invoice Status value of Processed (after approval, if approval flow is enabled).

4. In Transfer In Item List, modify the Received Qty. field.

   If the quantities (received and acknowledged) are different, a pop-up message displays indicating that there is a difference in the transfer amounts.

   Click OK to close out the transfer to generate a discrepancy report or click Cancel to leave the transfer report open by acknowledging partial transfer. If you click OK, a report is generated. If you click Cancel, the report is open and the status changes to Partially Received.
