OpenBoot Accessibility

The OpenBoot firmware determines the hardware configuration, initializes I/O devices, and boots the operating system from either a storage device or a network. The OpenBoot firmware provides a CLI to determine system resources and to boot the operating system. The OpenBoot firmware does not include product-specific accessibility features.

Using a keyboard, you can run the CLI commands to access OpenBoot features. The OpenBoot CLI can be accessed on a control domain using the Oracle ILOM firmware or on a virtual guest domain using the Oracle VM Server for SPARC software. All console input and output to the OpenBoot firmware is text-based. Refer to the assistive technology product documentation for information about command-line interface support.

The OpenBoot firmware is described in the accessible HTML document, Oracle OpenBoot 4.x Administration Guide, at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E63648_01/html/E63649/.
