Shaping transform operations

Shaping transforms are listed on the Shaping tab of the Transform page.

Filtering records from the project data set
You can use the refinement state as a basis for removing records from the project data set. You can either remove records that match the refinement state, or remove records that do NOT match the refinement state.
Deleting an attribute
You can delete an attribute from a project data set by using the quick transform menu option Delete Attribute.
About aggregating attribute values
You aggregate attribute values by applying an operation (sum, average, min/max, etc.) to one or more attributes and then grouping the derived result by an attribute.

The Aggregate transformation aggregates attributes values to derive one or more new attributes and group the result by an attribute.
About joining data sets
Studio can perform a left outer join, inner join, or full outer join against one or more data sets based on a key, or compound key, that you create.
Joining data sets
You can join one or more data sets by specifying primary and secondary sources, a join key, a join type, and then running the transform script.
