View a File

You can view files related to your projects.

To view a file:

  1. Navigate to the Project Home screen.
  2. Tap the Files tile.
  3. The default screen shows a list of recently viewed files. On the bottom of the Files screen, select a tab to view other categories:
    • Browse: Shows files related to the open project. In order to see all of them, including those you haven't downloaded to your device, the app must be online and connected to your Primavera Cloud server.
    • Recents: Shows all of the files that you have accessed since the beginning of last week. It may be divided into Today, This Week, and Last Week sections. Which files appear in each section depends on when you last viewed them.
    • Offline: Shows all of the files that have been downloaded. It is divided into two sections: The Downloads section shows files that you downloaded. The Attachments section shows attachments in activities and tasks, which are downloaded automatically when the project syncs.

A number by the Offline icon indicates the number of files that have been updated in the Primavera Cloud database but not the mobile app. The app must be connected to the Primavera Cloud server to determine if files have been updated.

In each tab, the Update File icon appears for any file that needs to be updated. Tap the Update File icon to manually download the latest version of the file. Tapping anywhere other than the icon will open the version that is currently stored on the device. File attachments that are 5MB or less will automatically update on your device, but you will need to manually update any file that is larger than 5MB.

  4. Tap the name of the file to open the attachment.

You can also download files for offline use. See Download a File.
