OFS Financial Services Data Management Application Pack is a separately licensed product.

This One-off Patch is released for Data Governance qualification on US Fed Regulatory Reporting Release v8.0.9.6.3.

Description

ID 32077542 - OFSDM v8.0.9.1.3 (DG): VARIANCE KEY INDICATOR REFRESHED TO BE COMPATIBLE WITH US FED REGULATORY REPORTING RELEASE v8.0.9.6.3 METADATA AND CONTROL DQ FIXES.

Pre-installation Requirements

The minimum patch set level must be OFS DM Application Pack v8.0.9.1.2.

Installing this Release

To install this release, follow these steps:

1.        Log in to My Oracle Support, and search for 32077542 under the Patches & Updates tab.

2.       Download the 32077542_GENERIC.zip archive file and copy it to your OFSAA server in Binary mode.

3.       Shut down all the OFSAAI services. For more information, see the Stopping Infrastructure Services section in Oracle Financial Services Data Management Pack Installation Guide 8.0.9.0.0.

4.      Extract the contents of the patch archive file using the command:

unzip -a <name of the file to be extracted>

For example: unzip -a 32077542_GENERIC.zip

Note: The "-a" option is mandatory to unzip the patch.
If you notice the error message: “unzip: not found [No such file or directory” before the package is installed, contact your UNIX administrator.

5.       Assign RWX (755) permissions to the folder by executing the command:

chmod -R 755 OFS_DM

6.      Navigate to the following directory:

<>/OFS_DM/conf

7.       Update the params.conf file with the upload model parameter as 0.

8.      Navigate to the following directory:

<>/OFS_DM/bin

9.      Execute the install command:

./install.sh

10.   Verify the patch installation logs in the following directory:

<>/OFS_DM/logs

11.     After successful installation, follow these steps:

a.       Clear the application cache. Navigate to the following directories depending on the configured web application server and delete the files:

                                                                         i.            Tomcat: <Tomcat installation location>/work/Catalina/localhost/<Application Name>/org/apache/jsp

                                                                       ii.             WebLogic: <WebLogic installation location>/domains/<Domain name>/servers/<Server name>/tmp/_WL_user/<Application name>/<auto generated folder>/jsp_servlet

12.    Delete the existing EAR or WAR file present in the $FIC_HOME/ficweb directory.

13.    Generate the application EAR or WAR file and redeploy the application onto your configured web application server. For more information on generating and deploying the EAR or WAR file, see the Post Installation Configuration section in the Oracle Financial Services Data Management Pack Installation Guide 8.0.9.0.0.

14.   After the successful installation of the release, restart all OFSAAI services. For more information, see the Starting or Stopping Infrastructure Services section in the Oracle Financial Services Data Management Pack Installation Guide 8.0.9.0.0.

Post-installation Steps

The post-installation steps required for this release are as follows:

1.        Copy the DGS.catalog and DGS.rpd files from the <FIC_HOME>/DGSBI directory to your local machine and redeploy the DGS.catalog and DGS.rpd files.

NOTE

New tables are not added in the RPD file to define Opaque views.

2.       Execute the MERGE_FCT_KRI_DEF batch.

For more details, see the Merging Key Indicators section in the Oracle Financial Services Data Management Pack Installation Guide 8.0.9.1.0.

3.       Execute the FCT_KRI_DEF_UPDATE batch.

For more details, see the Updating Measures for Key Indicators section in the Oracle Financial Services Data Management Pack Installation Guide 8.0.9.1.0.

4.      Execute the KI_CONFIGURATION batch.

For more details, see the Key Indicator Configuration section in the Oracle Financial Services Data Management Pack Installation Guide 8.0.9.1.0.
