This One-off Patch is released for Data Governance qualification on US Fed Regulatory Reporting Release v8.0.9.8.2.

Pre-installation Requirements

The minimum patch set level must be OFS DM Application Pack v8.0.9.3.0.

New Features

A new Business View Report is added to Variance Dashboard. This report extends Cell Variance Analysis to a more detailed level at SOR and LOB dimensions.

Installing this Release

To install this release, follow these steps:

1.        Log in to My Oracle Support, and search for 32963503 under the Patches & Updates tab.

2.       Download the 32963503_GENERIC.zip archive file and copy it to your OFSAA server in Binary mode.

3.       Shut down all the OFSAAI services.

4.      Extract the contents of the patch archive file using the command:

unzip -a <name of the file to be extracted>

For example: unzip -a 32963503_GENERIC.zip

Note: The "-a" option is mandatory to unzip the patch.
If you notice the error message: “unzip: not found [No such file or directory” before the package is installed, contact your UNIX administrator.

5.       Assign RWX (755) permissions to the folder by executing the command:

chmod -R 755 OFS_DM

6.      Navigate to the following directory:

<>/OFS_DM/conf

7.       Update the params.conf file with the upload model parameter as 0.

8.      Navigate to the following directory:

<>/OFS_DM/bin

9.      Execute the install command:

./install.sh

10.   Verify the patch installation logs in the following directory:

<>/OFS_DM/logs

Post-installation Steps

The post-installation steps required for this release are as follows:

1.        Copy the DGS.catalog and DGS.rpd files from the <FIC_HOME>/DGSBI directory to your local machine and redeploy the DGS.catalog and DGS.rpd files.

NOTE

New tables are not added in the RPD file to define Opaque views.

2.       Execute the SQL Loader for loading data to FSI_RR_CTL_MAP.

a.       Navigate to the following path to find the SQL loader file.

                                <context>/ficweb/webroot/sqlLoaderFiles

b.       Navigate to the following path to find the sqlloader.sh file.

                               <context>/ficdb/bin

c.       The following is the command to execute the sqlloader.sh:

./sqlLoader.sh <INFODOM> <COMPLETE PATH OF sqlLoaderFiles folder>

NOTE

1.     Before loading the data into FSI_RR_CTL_MAP ensure that the following Index(s) are stable or in a valid state.

·         FSI_RR_CTL_UDX

·         PK_FSI_RR_CTL_MAP

2.     In case SQL loader must be rerun, ensure to run the following in atomic schema:

delete from FSI_RR_CTL_MAP where V_REPORT_NAME in('FFIEC-031','FFIEC-041','FRY-9C');

3.       Execute the MERGE_FCT_KRI_DEF batch.

4.      Execute the FCT_KRI_DEF_UPDATE batch.

For more details, see the Updating Measures for Key Indicators section in the Oracle Financial Services Data Management Pack Installation Guide 8.0.9.3.0.

5.       Execute the DGS_KI_MDRM_UPDATE batch. This batch is used to convert work cells to normal cells. Enter the current system date as the MISDATE for this batch.

6.      Execute the KI_CONFIGURATION batch.

NOTE

You can implement the new Business View Report feature in an existing environment where the execution of DG KI Batch and Account Mapper are already executed for an MIS date. If the data for these MIS dates need to be displayed in the Business View Report, then execute the following script:

data_origin_agg_migration_script.sql.
