E3866 Cmd Rej: Shelf FAN bit must be enabled

For the chg/ent-card command, the Shelf FAN bit must be turned on before E5-ENET-B, E5-APP-B, and SLIC cards can be provisioned.

For the ent/chg-e1 command, the Shelf FAN bit must be turned on before HC-MIM cards that are used as E1 or SE-HSL cards can be used in a system shelf.

For the ent/chg-t1 command, the Shelf FAN bit must be turned on before HC-MIM cards that are used as T1 or ST-HSL-A cards can be used in a system shelf.

For the ent-slk command, the Shelf FAN bit must be turned on before links a16-a63 and b16-b63 can be provisioned. Links a16-a63 and b16-b63 are only applicable for SLIC cards running the IPSG application.

Note:

Once a feature that is controlled using a feature bit has been turned on, it cannot be turned off.

Recovery

1. Enter the rtrv-feat command to display the status of the Shelf FAN bit. Enter the ent-card command to check the cards that require a fan.
2. Turn on the Shelf FAN bit as necessary. Refer to Database Administration - SS7 User's Guide for assistance.
3. Re-enter the command that generated this error message.
