Product Description

The Oracle Exadata Storage Server X8-2 is an enterprise-class, two rack unit (2U) server that is available in three configurations: Extreme Flash (EF), High Capacity (HC), and Extended (XT). Each configuration uses the same server but is provisioned differently, as described in the following table.

One or two processors
  • Two Intel Xeon Gold 5218, 16-core, 2.3 GHz, 125 W processors (EF and HC only)

  • One Intel Xeon 12-core, 2.3 GHz, 125 W processor in socket P0 (XT only)

  • Twelve 16 GB (192 GB) 2666 MT/sec DDR4 DIMMs, or a configuration that supports six 128 GB DCPMM DIMMs per processor for a maximum of 12 DCPMM DIMMs alongside the 16 GB DDR4 DIMMs in the same memory channel (EF and HC only)

  • Six 16 GB (96 GB) 2666 MT/sec DDR4 DIMMs (XT only)
