Starting with the Oracle VM Server for SPARC 3.6.1 update release, the new ldm subcommands evacuate-io and restore-io appear. These are placeholders for functionality that will be available in a future Oracle Solaris update. Until that time, executing those commands produces errors like the following:
# ldm evacuate-io /SYS/PCI-EM0 The evacuation cannot be performed because the OS version running in domain primary does not support this feature. # ldm restore-io /SYS/PCI-EM2 Device /SYS/PCI-EM2 cannot be restored because it is not a hotplug-capable device.
