Changing a User's User IDYou can change the user ID for a user. The maximum number of characters that a user ID can contain is 50. A user ID cannot contain spaces or any of the following special characters:
Before you begin. To perform this procedure, your role must include the Manage Users privilege. To allow users to change their email address or user ID, you must set up the Sign In and Password Control feature. For instructions, see Defining Your Company's Password Controls. Depending on the option that the company administrator selects in the Send Email on User Profile Update setting on the company profile, an email might be sent to the user when the value in the User ID field on the user's profile is changed. For more information about the Send Email on User Profile Update setting, see Setting Up Your Company Profile and Global Defaults. The user can sign in to Oracle CRM On Demand by using the new user ID and the user's existing password. |
