Creating Activities for Contacts and Prospects for Email Treatments


Siebel Marketing can create an activity for each contact and prospect in your mailing. If you enable this option, then Siebel Marketing uses the Email Marketing - Update Status workflow to create the new activities. The workflow is called after each wave batch sent. You can customize the workflow if needed. Table 5 lists the workflow fields and the values used.

NOTE:  The value of the Status field is set to Sent at the end of the Email Marketing - Update Status workflow. The Status field is mapped to the STAT_CD column in the S_CAMP_CON table. Although there is a LOV value called Delivered, the email process does not use this value.

The following procedure shows how to create activities for contacts and prospects for an email treatment.

To create activities for contacts and prospects for an email treatment

  1. While creating the Email treatment, click the Advanced tab.
  2. Check the Create Activity check box.
