Configuring Workstation Buttons in Simphony First Edition for Suites Check Operations

Before a Suites event, initiate the Go Live process function from the Suites Management website to create checks in Simphony First Edition. Then, program a SIM inquiry button on the Suite Attendant screen to call the Suites Management SIM function for picking up a Suites check in the POS client. Workstation operators must pick up Suites checks using the designated touchscreen button for the specific suite information to be written correctly to the check.

To configure a SIM inquire touchscreen button in Simphony First Edition for picking up Suites checks:

  1. Select the revenue center, and then click Touchscreen Design.
  2. Double-click the transaction page that workstation operators use to pick up checks, and then insert a new button.
  3. On the Key tab, select 11 - Function as the Key Type.
  4. Click the right arrow adjacent to the Key Number field, and then select SIM [interface number] - Suites - Inquire 3.

    For example, SIM 1 - Suites - Inquire 3.

  5. Enter Pickup Suites for the Legend, and then remove all reopen checks, pickup check SLUs, and function buttons from the employee’s screen.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Perform a database update on the workstations.
