Configuring Workstation Buttons in Simphony for Suites Check Operations

This procedure describes how to configure touchscreen buttons in Simphony version 2.9 and later for Suites check operations.

  1. Select the Enterprise, property, revenue center, or zone, click Configuration, and then click Page Design.
  2. Double-click the transaction page that workstation operators use to pick up checks.
  3. Insert a button, on the General tab, select Function as the Type, and then click the right arrow directly beneath the Type drop-down list.
  4. Select Extensibility from the Type pane, select SIM Inquire from the Results pane, and then click OK.
  5. In the Argument field, enter Suites:3, and then enter Pickup Suite Check for the Legend.

    Suites is the name of the extension application previously added.

  6. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 to insert another button.
  7. In the Argument field, enter Suites:4, and then enter Add Check to Suite for the Legend.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Perform a database update on the workstations and restart the workstations. You must restart the service host defined on the Service Host tab in the Interfaces module.
