Assigning Component Types

Use component types to specify how labour or stored materials can be budgeted and claimed on the system.

Please consult with your Textura implementation team to use component types. The Allow Setting of Component Type organisation setting must be added by a Textura Administrator.

To assign component types to lines in a subcontract:

  1. Navigate to the Contract Maintenance Page
  2. From the Contract Maintenance page, select the Components tab.

When a project uses Component Types, the Components tab of the Contract Maintenance page includes a Component Type column.

  3. Set the Component Type.

Subcontractor billing is limited by the Component Type:

    • Standard: Default Component Type, the component can be used to claim for any stored materials or work completed
    • Work: The component can only be used to claim for work completed (labour)
    • Material: The component can only be used to claim for stored material

Note: If a project includes the Track Stored Material detail project setting, the component can be used to claim for either on-site or off-site material. The following components are available only if you use this setting.

      See Choose Project Settings.

    • On-Site Material: The component can only be used to claim for on-site stored material
    • Off-Site Material: The component can only be used to claim for on-site stored material.
  4. Select the Save Changes button.
    • A Status page confirms the contract has been saved.
    • When the Subcontractor enters a claim for the next period, the retention is automatically calculated.
