Specified WB Overview

As a Main Contractor, consider choosing the Specified WB (Work Breakdown) contract setting when creating a subcontract on the system.
This setting allows you to control the WB for the subcontract, but not the WB for any Sub-Tier subcontracts.

The Specified WB setting may be turned on or off at any time from the Contract Maintenance or Manage Subcontractor Settings pages.

Why Use A Specified Work Breakdown?

If a subcontract uses a Specified WB, only the Main Contractor can edit the WB.

As the Main Contractor on a Specified WB contract you can:

Create and change Item Numbers
Create and change Item Number descriptions
Create WB amounts
Adjust WB amounts
Allocate prime contract variations
Reallocate payments
Reallocate retention
