Approving Potential Change Orders
The application prompts a Subcontractor to View/Edit Potential Changes Orders after entering an invoice. Once the Subcontractor saves the potential change orders, you will receive a Potential Change Order Submitted email. The entered potential change orders display on your Edit Potential Change Orders page.
To approve potential change orders on the Edit Potential Change Orders page:
- Navigate to the Edit Potential Change Order Page
The Edit Potential Change Order page can be reached from several places on the system.
- From the Subcontracts menu on the Project Home Page or Draw Home Page, choose Edit Potential Change Orders.
- Use the link from the Potential Change Order submitted email.
- Choose the View/Edit Potential Changes Orders link from the Draw Home page or the Tasks page.
- Use the Assess link under the Potential Change Orders column of the Manage Invoices page.
- From the Edit Potential Change Orders page, select a contract.
- Review the Title, Description, Change Order Amount, % Complete, and Claimed Amount of each potential change order.
If the project uses the Allow edits to Potential Change Orders project setting, the table also includes a Status column.
There are two possible statuses:
- Open: The potential change order is included in the custom log
- Closed :The potential change order is not included in the log.
- Enter the Assessed Amount.
- Enter a GC Reference Number.
- Select the Save Changes button.
Note: The application does not notify Subcontractors when you makes edits to potential change orders.
