Creating a Document Archive

To create a collated PDF of files on the Generate Document Archive page to later save or print:

  1. Navigate to the Generate Document Archive Page
  2. (Optional) From the Generate Document Archive page, apply filters to narrow the list of documents available in the document table.
    • The header row in each column includes filtering tools.
    • Select the Reset Filters button to remove applied filters.
    • You can also select a preset saved filter to apply to the table from the Saved Filters drop-down.
  3. In the first column of the table, select the box for each document you want to include in the collated PDF file.
    • Select the box in the column header to select all files.

The first time you select documents that are not PDF files, you will see an alert explaining how you cannot create a combined PDF. You can choose to hide this message in the future.

    • Only documents with the PDF file extension may be selected for inclusion in the collated PDF.
  4. (Optional) Select the Selected Documents button to see a list of all the documents you chose to include in an archive.
  5. Select the Generate PDF Archive... button if your selected documents are all PDF files. If you included other file types, select the Generate Zip Archive button.

    Either:

    • A Generate PDF Archive dialog box displays if you chose to create a PDF Archive.
    • A Generate ZIP Archive dialog box displays if you chose to create a ZIP archive.
  6. In the dialog box, enter a name for the archive.

Note: If you generated a PDF archive, you can choose the order documents will appear in the collated PDF.

  7. Select the Generate PDF button.
    • The dialog box closes and a confirmation dialog box displays, confirming TPM has begun processing the request.
    • When the process completes, you will receive an email with a link to the generated archive and see an action on your Project Home page.
    • The application clears your selected files from the Generate Document Archive page, returning the number of selected files to zero.
