SQL Server TCP Connection Timed Out
Example
Failed to connect database: SQL Server TCP connection timed out / login timeout expired.
Meaning
Textura tried to connect to the Viewpoint SQL Server database over TCP, but the request timed out before a connection could be established.
Possible Cause
- The SQL Server is slow to respond or unavailable.
- The SQL Server port is blocked by a firewall.
- The database server is overloaded.
- There is a network interruption between Textura and the ERP database environment.
- The configured SQL Server port or instance is incorrect.
Recommended Resolution
Ask your ERP administrator or database administrator to confirm the SQL Server is running, the correct port is open, and the integration environment can connect to the SQL Server instance.
If the issue persists after network and database availability are confirmed, contact Textura Support.
