Communication Link Failure / Broken SQL Server Connection
Example
Failed to connect database: communication link failure / broken SQL Server connection.
Meaning
A connection to the SQL Server was started, but the connection broke and could not be recovered.
Possible Cause
- A temporary network interruption occurred.
- The SQL Server closed or reset the connection.
- The database server restarted or became unavailable.
- A firewall, proxy, or network device interrupted the session.
- The SQL Server connection retry settings were not enough to recover.
Recommended Resolution
Ask your ERP administrator or database administrator to review the SQL Server availability and network stability at the time of the error.
If the issue repeats, contact Textura Support so the connection behavior and retry settings can be reviewed.
