Change ORMS Hurdle Step Amounts Utility

The Change ORMS Hurdle Step Amounts Utility allows users to change ORMS 10g system recommended hurdle step amounts for the selected Yield Category after Modelization. This utility is available when the following prerequisites have been met:

• User is granted the permission UTILITIES > CHANGE ORMS HURDLES STEP AMOUNT.
• The application parameter ORMS > ORMS ADF11 is set to N.

To access this utility:

• Select Utilities > Utilities > Change ORMS Hurdle Step Amounts.
• Enter the correct password to display the Change ORMS Hurdle Step Amounts screen.

Changing ORMS Hurdle Step Amounts

At the Change ORMS Hurdle Step Amounts screen, you can change the existing hurdle amount for each of the hurdle steps per Yield Category. The "number" of hurdle steps cannot be changed, only the hurdle "amounts."

Selection Criteria

Property. The default property is the logged in property. In a multi-property environment, select the LOV and indicate which property whose hurdle amounts you want to modify.

Yield Category. Select the LOV and then select the configured Yield Category for the property whose hurdle amounts you want to modify.

Select Search to display the list of existing Hurdle Steps and amounts for the Yield Category and Property.

Modifying the Hurdle Amounts

When this utility is first accessed, the system will check if the Optimizer Service is stopped.

• If the Optimizer is not stopped, the system will stop the Optimizer Service and will not allow users to continue until the Optimizer Service is stopped. Users receive a message: Stopping Optimizer Service. Please wait for the Optimizer Service to be stopped.
• If the Optimizer doesn't stop within one minute from the first message, the following message appears: The Optimizer Service could not be stopped. Try stopping the Optimizer Service manually and then click on Retry. Click on Close if you would like to close the Utility now. Two buttons are available with this message: Retry and Close.
  • If the you choose to stop the Optimizer Service manually, after stopping the Optimizer, select the Retry button. The system will verify if the Optimizer Service is really stopped. If the Optimizer is stopped, the utility allows you to change the hurdle step amounts on the Change ORMS Hurdle Step Amounts screen.

The Change ORMS Hurdle Step Amounts screen defaults to the current Hurdle Amounts per step per Yield Category. Override and modify the existing amounts as necessary.

Buttons

OK. Select this button to save the changes and override the existing hurdle amounts. The Optimizer Service will start and the next Optimization will take the newly configured hurdle step amounts into account for operation.

Overriding ORMS Hurdle Amounts
