Adjustment Codes Setup

Select Configuration > Cashiering > Adjustment Codes > Adjustment Codes Setup screen to define the adjustment reason codes for adjustments and deletions to transactions that are posted to a guest's bill.

If you set the application parameter CASHIERING > TRANSACTION CODE PER ADJUSTMENT CODE to Y, then for any existing transaction code that has an adjustment code already assigned, that same transaction code links to all the existing adjustment codes.

Search Criteria

Property. Available if the OPP_MHOT Multi-property add-on license is active. Select the down arrow to choose the property to search for adjustment codes.

Fields

X. An X in this column indicates that the code has been selected to be copied to another property or deleted, depending on the button selected.

Code. Adjustment code.

Description. Description of the adjustment code.

Code Type. Adjustment code type.

Adding and Editing Adjustment Codes

To create a new adjustment code, select the New button. To edit an existing adjustment code, highlight your choice on the Adjustment Codes Setup screen and select the Edit button, or double-click the record to edit. The Adjustment Codes - New or Adjustment Codes - Edit screen appears.

Code Type: Select the option button for the type of adjustment code:

Code. Adjustment code.

Description. Description of the adjustment code.

Amount/Percentage. Set an adjustment amount or percentage for an adjustment code (not for a Deletion type). The amount can be between -9999999.00 to 9999999.00, but cannot be 0.00. The percentage can be between -100 to 100, but cannot be 0. The value can be numerical only.

Copying Adjustment Codes to Other Properties

If the OPP_MHOT Multi-property add-on license is active, you can copy adjustment codes set up for one property to other properties in the multi-property cluster.

To copy codes to other properties, mark codes with an X by clicking in the X column or by highlighting the code and selecting the space bar. When you have selected the codes to copy, select the Copy button. From the list of properties, choose the properties to copy codes to and select the OK button.
