Advanced Email Delivery 5.6.19.19
The Advanced Email Delivery functionality utilizes the OPERA Application server for delivery instead of the database server. This is only applicable for OPERA 5 Oracle hosted environments.
Customers can specify their own Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) server for email delivery to be compliant with Domain Based Message Authentication, Reporting and Compliance (DMARC). DMARC is configured at the SMTP server level and verifies that the sending SMTP server domain corresponds with the sender’s e-mail domain.
Activating the Advanced Email Delivery Parameter
Activate the Advanced Email Delivery application setting, which allows email delivery through the WebLogic application server. This parameter utilizes the OPERA Application server for delivery instead of the database server and is specific to the property.
- Log in to OPERA and open the Configuration module.
- From the Setup menu, select Application Settings.
- Select the Property, General, Parameters, Advanced Email Delivery option.
- Click Edit and change the value to "Y".
- Click OK.

Delivery Method
Use the Delivery Method to configure email delivery for a specific property.
- Log in to OPERA and open the Configuration module.
- From the Property menu, select Delivery Method, and then select General.
- Complete the following details:
- Property: Select the Property from the list.
- Activate Email Delivery: Select to activate email delivery functionality.
- From Email Address: Enter the sender email address.
- User ID: Populate User ID
- User Password: Populate Password.
- Server Name: Populate server name.
Example: name of the SMTP server: port number (optional)
(smtp-server.hoteldomain.com:587)
- Click OK.

Configuring Billing Delivery
- Log in to OPERA and open the Configuration module.
- From the Property menu, select Delivery Method, and then select Billing.

Configuring Other Folios Delivery
- Log in to OPERA and open the Configuration module.
- From the Property menu, select Delivery Method, and then select Other Folios.

Configuring Confirmation Delivery
- Log in to OPERA and open the Configuration module.
- From the Property menu, select Delivery Method, and then select Confirmation.

Configuring Contracts/OWSC Delivery
- Log in to OPERA and open the Configuration module.
- From the Property menu, select Delivery Method, and then select Contracts/OWSC Delivery.

Configuring Global Alerts Delivery
- Log in to OPERA and open the Configuration module.
- From the Property menu, select Delivery Method, and then select Global Alerts.

Configuring OVOS Delivery
- Log in to OPERA and open the Configuration module.
- From the Property menu, select Delivery Method, and then select OVOS.

Configuring OWS Delivery
- Log in to OPERA and open the Configuration module.
- From the Property menu, select Delivery Method, and then select OWS.

Configuring Queue Reservation Text Message Delivery
- Log in to OPERA and open the Configuration module.
- From the Property menu, select Delivery Method, and then select Queue Reservation.

Configuring Queue Rush Text Message Delivery
- Log in to OPERA and open the Configuration module.
- From the Property menu, select Delivery Method, select Queue Rooms, and then select Queue Rush.

Configuring Online CheckIn Delivery
- Log in to OPERA and open the Configuration module.
- From the Property menu, select Delivery Method, and then select Online CheckIn.
