Description. Activate Article Functionality

Property Determination. Articles are used to break down and collect statistics on specific types of postings that may be too detailed for reporting on a traditional transaction code report. For example, if transaction code 2300 is set up as the line item for Mini-Bar Food, multiple “articles” such as peanuts, potato chips, pretzels, etc. are normally included under that transaction code. With the activation of Article Posting functionality, revenue will report back to transaction code 2300 as usual; however, for the purposes of statistical reporting, you will see the detailed article analysis and breakdown. Articles can be made available for posting charges from the Post It screen.
