IFC Overview

Note: When the OPR<version Number>ORS license code is active, three option buttons appear on the Application Settings screen that affect what Group Functions, Parameters, and Settings will be available.

- The Global option button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that will affect all properties located in all CROs in the ORS database.
- The CRO option button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that will affect all properties located in the CRO selected from the CRO LOV.  
- The Property option button displays Group Functions/Parameters/Settings that are available on the property level and will only affect the property selected in the Property LOV.

Functions

Parameters

• ADVANCED AUTHORIZATION RULES - The ability to define authorization rules based on reservation type and/or source code. The ability to define authorization rules based on Room Type, Room Class, Rate Code, Rate Category, Reservation Type and Source Code or a combination of the same.
• ALLOW DCC AT REMOTE CHECKOUT - Allow dynamic currency conversion during remote checkout. (Only displayed when the OPP_DCC PMS add-on license is active.)
• ALLOW GIFT CARD CASHOUT - Allow cashing out the balance from a stored value card.
• AUTO CHECK OUT SHARES - When active all sharers eligible for checkout will be automatically checked out with a remote checkout request.
• CC NUMBER NOT MANDATORY FOR RESERVATIONS - Credit card number or expiration date are not mandatory for making or changing a reservation with a credit card payment method, nor is a credit card number required when checking the guest in.
• CHIP AND PIN - Activate the chip and pin functionality. (Only displayed when there is an active EFT or CCW IFC Type.)
• DISPLAY IFC ACCOUNT DURING CHECKIN - Display IFC Account Screen during checkin.
• DISPLAY HOUSE BOOTH CALLS - Activate to display House Booth Calls Screen.
• DISPLAY KEY SCREEN - Activate to display the Keys form when extending or shortening a guest stay.
• DISPLAY KEY SCREEN UPON CHECK-IN - Activate to display Key Screen when checking in a Reservation.
• DISPLAY VIRTUAL NUMBER PIN - Display GPIN in the Virtual Number Setup form. (Only displayed when the OPP_VNS PMS add-on license is active.)
• GIFT CARDS - Activate the gift cards functionality.
• IFC POST EXCLUSIVE TAX AS ITEMIZER  - Exclusive taxes will be posted as itemizers by the interface.
• MOBILE AUDIO KEY - Enable the use of a Mobile Audio Key for Guest. (Only displayed when there is an active MAK IFC Type.)
• MULTIPLE GUEST ROOM KEY - Enable Multiple Guest Room Key.
• RESTRICT KEYS FOR RESERVATIONS NOT CHECKED-IN - When active, access to make room keys for reservations not checked-in will be restricted.
• STORE CHECK DETAILS BY CHECK NUMBER ONLY - Activating this Parameter will store the check details by check number only excluding the date and time.
• SWAP REFERENCE AND SUPPLEMENT - Swap the contents of Supplement and Reference field when posting charges from the interface.
• VIDEO CHECK OUT - Activate the video check-out functionality.
• WAKE-UP CALLS FAILURE NOTICE - Activate to receive broadcast message when wakeup calls fail. (Only displayed when the Reservations > Wake-Up Calls application function is set to Y.)
• ZERO PERSON KEYS - Controls whether OPERA prompts to cut keys when the reservation checking in is for 0 persons.

Settings

• AUTOMATIC AUTHORIZATIONS PRINTER - The assigned printer for automatic Credit Card authorizations.
• BUSINESS EVENT DELAY TIME - This parameter will decide delay time for the Business Event in seconds.
• CC AUTH PROC STOP CHECK INTERVAL - The frequency (in minutes) at which the Credit Card Automatic Authorization process will check if the process has been inactivated/stopped.
• CREDIT CARD PROMPT - Request Swipe for Credit Card Payments.
• DEFAULT POSTING ROOM - The room number to which lost interface postings will be sent.
• DYNAMIC CURRENCY CONVERSION - Use the dynamic currency conversion setting for credit card settlements (only displayed when the OPP_DCC add-on license is active).
• EXTERNAL TIMEOUT - The default timeout for interfaces (in seconds) to be used if no timeout is configured with the individual interface.
• FLAGS - Access the IFC Configuration settings.
• GUEST LOOKUP TIMEOUT - The time out for guest lookup (in seconds).
• KEY INTERFACE TIMEOUT - Interactive Key Interface Timeout.
• KEY RESPONSE - Determines whether OPERA will wait for or broadcast the key response.
• KEYS EXPIRY DAYS - The number of days after the check out date for key card to expire.
• KEYS EXPIRY TIME - The time of the day after which the key card will expire.
• MOBILE AUDIO KEY CHECK IN - Determines when the reservation will be checked in. (Only displayed when the IFC > Mobile Audio Key application parameter is set to Y.)
• MOBILE AUDIO KEY OPT IN PROMPT - Determines when and how often the Opt-in message should appear as part of the reservation process. (Only displayed when the IFC > Mobile Audio Key application parameter is set to Y.)
• PATH - The location of the folder on the interface computer containing the interface configuration files for this property.
• PATH ID - The interface path ID for the property.
• PURGE CC AUTH LOG DAYS - The number of days to purge the credit card authorization log.
• PURGE IFC LOG - Number of days to purge ifc_errors, ifc_failed_messages, http_transaction_log tables.
• REMOTE CHECKOUT FOLIO DELIVERY - Ability to set the Remote Check Out Folio Delivery Method to Print, E-mail or both.
• SCHEDULED ACTIVITY REPORT NAME - Name of the report that should be run at check-in if a scheduled activity exists for the reservation.
• SETTLEMENT AUTHORIZATION CODE - The authorization code to be used during settlement if multiple authorization codes exist.
• STORED VALUE PURCHASE TRN CODE - Transaction code defined in this setting will be used to post gift card purchase (only displayed when an interface is active with Stored Value functionality).
• VIDEO CHECK OUT PRINTER - The printer that will be used for printing folios during video check-out. (Only displayed when the IFC > Video Checkout application parameter is set to Y.)
• VIDEO CHECK OUT START TIME - The time of day that the video check out is to start. (Only displayed when the IFC > Video Checkout application parameter is set to Y.)
• VIDEO CHECK OUT STOP TIME - The time of day that the video check out is to stop. (Only displayed when the IFC > Video Checkout application parameter is set to Y.)
