E2586 Cmd Rej: Host Name Referenced by Connection

For the dlt-ip-host command, before a local entry can be deleted from the IP Host table, all connection references to the hostname must be deleted. This rule does not apply to remote host entries.

Recovery

  1. Enter the rtrv-ip-conn command to display all IP connections. Verify no IP connection local host is referencing the IP host.
  2. If necessary, enter dlt-ip-conn command to delete any IP connection local host referencing the IP host.
  3. Enter the rtrv-assoc command to display all associations. Verify no association local host is referencing the IP host.
  4. If necessary, enter dlt-assoc command to delete any association local host referencing the IP host.
  5. Re-enter the command that generated this error message, specifying a valid combination of parameters. Refer to the command description in the Commands User's Guide and Database Administration - Features User's Guide for assistance.
