Mediation State and Properties elements

Table 2-26 describes the fields on the view and edit pages. Data Input Notes apply only to the edit page.

Rule Template Name

The name of a configured Rule Template.

Format: field

State

The state of the Rule Template.

Development - the Rule Template is disabled for any live or test traffic; it is under development.

Test - the Rule Sets entry is generated and the Rule Set is enabled only for the special test messages.

Active - the Rule Template and Rule Set are enabled for any kind of traffic.

Format: list

Range: Development (only for creating and modifying Rule Templates), Test, Active

Default: Development

Action Error Handling

Specifies the type of error handling to be used if an Action in a Rule Template fails.

Format: list

Range: Ignore the error, Immediately exit from the rule template, Immediately exit from the trigger point

Default: Ignore the error

Status of Rule Counters

Enables or disables the rule counters for a specific rule template.

In the view only screen, the status of rule counters column is set to active or stopped respectively to the checked or unchecked box.

Active status means the Rule Set counter started counting the number of matches per rule, which allows you to view the rule counters from the enabled Show Counters button on the Rule Set page.

Stopped status means the counter is disabled.
