The Gantt view is a graphical display of a project's roadmap. It shows the order in which activities occur over the course of the project. The duration of each activity, using the specified timescale, is displayed as a horizontal bar; and a line connecting activity bars indicates dependencies. Activities that are on the critical path are displayed in red.
Use the Gantt view to do the following:
- View activities graphically.
- Track progress by comparing the planned and actual start and finish dates, and by checking the percent complete of each activity.
- View tasks that are on the critical path.
- Edit dates and duration of tasks, change % complete, and the status of activities.
- Add dependencies and documents.
