Approving Timesheets

If you are a Resource Manager or Project Manager, your responsibilities may include approving timesheets. The timesheets that require your approval are displayed on your My Work page, Timesheet Listing page, and Resource Listing page. If your Administrator has set the Timesheet Approval Settings to Approve at Timesheet Level, then the entire timesheet is approved or rejected, if set to Approve at Timesheet Line Level, then all open line items are approved or rejected. In addition, if you are a resource manager, you can approve project level line items only if you have the permission to do so.

Using My Work Page

To approve or reject timesheets from your My Work page:

  1. Navigate to My Work by clicking the My Work icon on the Left Navigation bar, or select My EnterpriseTrack > My Work from the Top Navigation bar.
  2. You will see a list of timesheets that require your approval. Select the timesheet you want to approve or reject. To view the timesheet details, click the View link.
  3. Click Approve or Reject.

    Click the Approve, or Reject, icons and click Submit.

    You can also select individual line items to approve or reject. Select Approve or Reject from the Status column drop-down menu for each line item, and click Submit.

Using Timesheet Listing Page

To approve or reject timesheets from the Timesheet Listing page:

  1. Click the Timesheets link in the Left Navigation bar, or select Go To > Timesheets from the Top Navigation bar.
  2. Select the Pending my approval option from the Saved Search: View pull-down menu.
  3. You will see a list of timesheets that require your approval. Select the timesheet you want to approve or reject. To view the timesheet details, click the View link.
  4. Click the Approve, or Reject buttons and click Submit.

Using Resource Listing Page

To approve or reject timesheets from the Resource Listing page:

  1. Click the Resources link in the Left Navigation bar, or select Go To > Resources > Listing from the Top Navigation bar.
  2. Click the Timesheets tab. All timesheets that require your approval are displayed on this tab.
  3. You will see a list of timesheets that require your approval. Select the timesheet you want to approve or reject. To view the timesheet details, click the View link.
  4. Click the Approve, or Reject buttons.

    Notes:

    • You can only approve or reject items that are applicable to you.
    • An email notification is sent to the user when a timesheet is approved or rejected.
    • Based on your settings, you may see either Approve and Reject or Approve All and Reject All buttons.
