When you reassign a team member, the current team member becomes inactive and the new team member becomes active. Inactive team member can maintain their existing timesheet and activity data, but cannot be associated with future timesheets or activities. Inactive team members are also removed from the project pool.
Reassigned team members become inactive and can be reactivated from the Resource Listing page by filtering for inactive team members.
Notes:
- Only roles that do not require approval are available for reassignment.
- If an activity has timesheet data, it cannot be reassigned.
- You can reassign activities only if you have the Modify Project Manager (to reassign project managers) or Modify Team Member (to reassign team members) permissions.
To reassign a project team member:
- Navigate to the Project Resources page by selecting (Project #)> Go To> Resources > Listing or by clicking the Resources link on the Left Navigation Bar within a particular project. The Project Resources page is displayed.
- Select
>Reassign Team Member. - Select a new team member.
- For each activity associated with the current team member, you can select who the activity should be reassigned to.
- Click Reassign Team Member.
