2 About Inter-Working Function

Oracle 5G IWF shall be deployed as independent network function in the 5GC network or as the part of Oracle 5GC NFs which includes Network Repository Function, Security Edge Protection Proxy, and Service Communication Proxy. as an independent micro service

The key capabilities of Inter-Working Function includes:

• Protocol Translation:
  • Allows 5GC NF to interwork the EPC network elements or vice versa
  • Supports diameter to HTTP/2 and vice versa protocol conversion capabilities
• Message Mediation:
  • Allows API transformation to resolve inter-NF inter-operational issues
  • Allows users to create policy rules to execute mediation transformation
