Configuring Block Cancellation Reasons

Cancellation reason codes are used to specify why a block was canceled. A block cancellation reason is required when you change a block status to Canceled.
Cancellation reasons is a global configuration shared by all properties when the OPERA Multi-property Cross Reservation Cloud Service is active.

Adding a Block Cancellation Reason

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Block Management, and then select Cancellation Reasons.

  2. Click New and complete the following fields:
    1. Code. Enter a code for reservations that are canceled (for example, WEATHER or FLIGHT).

    2. Description. Enter a description that clarifies a canceled reservation code (for example, weather conditions, flight cancellation, and so on).

    3. Display Seq. Enter a number that controls the position of the code in listings. Codes not assigned a sequence number are listed in alphabetical order following codes with an assigned sequence.

  3. Click Save or click Save and Continue to add another cancellation reason.

Editing a Block Cancellation Reason

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Block Management, and then select Cancellation Reasons.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. In the search results, select the code, click the vertical ellipsis, and select Edit.

  4. Update the configuration.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting a Block Cancellation Reason

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Block Management, and then select Cancellation Reasons.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. In the search results, select the code, click the vertical ellipsis, and select Delete.

  4. Select Delete to confirm.
