Configuring Package Codes

Adding Package Codes

  1. From OPERA Cloud Administration menu, select Financial, select Rate Management, and then select Package Code.

  2. Click New and complete the following:
    1. Package Code Definition

      1. See Package Code Definition.

    2. Click Save.

    3. Click Save.

    4. Click Save.

    5. Click Save.

  3. Click Save or Save and Add More Details to go to Package Code presentation page and make further updates.

Editing Package Codes

  1. From the OPERA Cloud Administration menu, select Rate Management, and then select Package Code.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. Select a package code and click the vertical ellipsis, select Edit.

  4. Select a details link to update the respective details.

Deleting Package Codes

Note:

Package codes cannot be deleted if the package is attached to a rate code; the package must first be un-associated from the rate code. Package codes cannot be deleted if the package is attached to a package group, the package must first be deselected from the package group. Package codes cannot be deleted if dependent transactional data exists; if a package code is referenced in blocks or reservations (past or future) the code cannot be deleted. Package codes attached to a canceled or no show reservation where the departure date is in the future cannot be deleted.
  1. From the OPERA Cloud Administration menu, select Rate Management, and then select Package Code.

  2. Enter search criteria, click Search.

  3. From search results, select a package code and click the vertical ellipsis, select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.

Copying Package Codes

You can use the copy action to clone a package code within the same property, or copy package codes to other properties when the OPERA Multi-property Cross Reservation Cloud Service is active

Change to a Hub location to copy package codes to other properties. See Changing Your Location in Multi-Property Operations.
  1. From the OPERA Cloud Administration menu, select Rate Management, and then select Package Code.

  2. Click the vertical ellipsis and select Copy.

    1. Source.: Select the source property.

    2. Package Code(s): Select one or more package codes from the list.

    3. Package Pricing: Select to also copy the package pricing to the destination properties.

    4. Target Properties: Select one or more properties from the list.

  3. Click Save.

    1. Copy Package Code As: Enter a code for new (cloned) package (same property).

    2. Copy Description As: Enter a description for new (cloned) package (same property).

  4. Click Copy and Continue.

  5. On the Confirmation panel, Status shows Complete and Status message as Copy Template Code(s) was successful.

  6. Click Print to generate a report.
