Managing Log It

Log It available for tracking and communicating information to other users. Each log book entry is linked to a department so that other users in the same department can filter and read relevant Log It entries. Log It is useful for handing over information, tasks or other activities to users on the next shift. You can also create Log It entry for a future date and use this feature to remind staff in a specific department to complete certain tasks. A Log It report is available to generate details of the log book entries.

Generating the Log It Report 

To generate the log_book report with details of the log book entries that are currently displayed in the Log Book
  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Miscellaneous, select Log It.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Click the Vertical Ellipsis and select Report

  4. Select a report destination then click Process.

Adding Log It Entry

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Miscellaneous, select Log It.

  2. Click New and enter the following details:

    1. Department: Select the down arrow to choose the department associated with the log book entry. Once the entry is saved, this field cannot be edited. The department name appears to the right of the field.

    2. Log Date: Enter the date to which this entry applies. Current date is the default date. The date cannot be earlier than today's date.

    3. Log Time: Enter the time to which this entry applies.

    4. Details: Enter the text of the log book entry.

  3. Click Save.

Viewing/Editing Log It Entry

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Miscellaneous, select Log It.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search..

  3. In the search results, select the entity, click the Vertical Ellipsis and select Edit.

  4. Update entry.

  5. Click Save .

Note:

Past date entries cannot be edited, a View action link is available instead of Edit.

Deleting Log It Entry

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Miscellaneous, select Log It.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. In the search results, select the entity, click the Vertical Ellipsis and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
