Managing Block Access Exclusion

Use Block Access Exclusion screen to exclude the block from selected Hubs/Central Reservation Office (CRO) when the Oracle Hospitality OPERA Multi-Property Reservation Cloud Service is active. When access exclusion is setup for a business block, the selected Hubs/CROs will not be able to manage block reservations.

Adding Block Access Exclusion

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Bookings, Blocks, and then select Manage Block.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the block in the search result, then click I Want To... then Access Exclusion or open the block then click Access Exclusion.

  4. Click New and complete the following:

    1. Message: Enter a message. This message is global and will be displayed for the selected Hubs.

    2. Hub: Select one or more hubs from the list

    3. Hide from Availability Screen: Select checkbox to hide block allocation from Hub users

    4. Prevent Reservation Creation: Select checkbox to prevent Hub users from creating reservations for the block

    5. Prevent Reservation Modification: Select checkbox to prevent Hub users from updating reservations for the block

    6. Allow Cancel Reservation: Select checkbox to allow Hub users to cancel reservations

    7. Inactive: Select checkbox to inactivate the access exclusion rule.

  5. Click Save.

Editing Block Access Exclusion

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Blocks, and then select Manage Block.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the block in the search result, then click I Want To... then Access Exclusion or open the block then click Access Exclusion.

  4. Select the hub then click the Vertical Ellipsis and select Edit.

  5. Update details.

  6. Click Save.

Deleting Block Access Exclusion

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Blocks, and then select Manage Block.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. Select the block in the search result, then click I Want To... then Access Exclusion or open the block then click Access Exclusion.

  4. Select the hub then click the Vertical Ellipsis and select Delete.

  5. Click Delete to confirm.
