Managing Shift Reports

Shift Reports are a grouping of reports; enabling you to generate multiple reports, in a batch process, by selecting the one shift report. For example, you may wish to configure 'Downtime Reports' for unplanned power or data outages - generating reports such as Arrivals, Inhouse, Departures, Housekeeping Room Status, Guest Ledger Balances etc. All reports selected for a Shift Report generate with the default parameters (filter, display options, sort order) configured on the report. See Configuring Reports.

When the Report Scheduler OPERA Control is active you can setup Shift Reports to auto-generate periodically. See Managing Scheduled Reports .

Viewing (Generating) Shift Reports

A new browser window will be launched to generate shift reports; this window can be minimized while reports are generating. All reports generated are combined in a single PDF file.

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Reports, and then Shift Reports.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. In the search result, select a Shift Report and click vertical ellipsis.

  4. Select View

  5. Select the report destination:

    1. Leave Destination as selected: Reports will generate to destination as listed above; use Change to Email, Print options to modify the destination for a specific report.

    2. Change Destination for all reports: Allows you to change the destination

      1. Preview: Generates a PDF file that can be printed or downloaded

      2. Email to Print : Generates a PDF and emails direct to a printer for printing; select a printer from the list

      3. Email: Generates a PDF and emails file as attachment to specified email address

Adding Shift Reports

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Reports, and then Shift Reports.

  2. Click New and enter the following details:.

    1. Property: Confirm or select a property.

    2. Report Name: Enter a code or name for the shift report.

    3. Description : Enter a description for the shift report.

    4. From the Available list search and select a report to be added to the Shift Report grouping.

    5. To search for a report, enter the report name and click Go.

    6. Press the Ctrl key to select multiple reports in search result.

    7. Click the forward arrow > to move the selected report(s) to the Selected panel.

    8. Repeat these steps to add more reports to the Selected panel.

  3. Click Save.

Editing Shift Reports

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Reports, and then Shift Reports.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. From search results, select the row level vertical ellipsis of the template and select Edit.

  4. Update the shift report selection.

  5. Click Save.

Deleting Shift Reports

  1. From the OPERA Cloud menu, select Reports, and then Shift Reports.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. From search results, select the row level vertical ellipsis of the template and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
