Configuring Deposit Rule Schedules

Adding a Deposit Rule Schedule

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Booking Rules and Schedules, and then select Deposit Rules Schedules.

  2. Click New and complete the following fields:

    1. Property. Confirm or enter the property for the deposit rule schedule.

    2. Begin / End Date. Define the effective period for this rule schedule by selecting its start date and end date. Duplicate rule schedules cannot have overlapping effective periods. For example, assuming you have two deposit rule schedules for the FLAT deposit rule, and both are applied to the AARP rate code and the 6 PM reservation type. One rule schedule cannot have effective dates of 06-01 through 07-31 if the other already has effective dates of 07-15 through 08-15.

    3. Rule. Choose the cancellation rule to which this deposit rule schedule applies.

    4. Rate Code. Choose the rate code to which this deposit rule schedule applies.

    5. Reservation Type. Choose the reservation type to which this deposit rule schedule applies.

    6. Seq. Enter the sequence number that determines the position of this rule schedule in a list of values.

    7. Credit Rating. Select a credit rating from the list to limit this deposit rule to reservations, based on the credit rating as indicated on their profile.

    8. Season Code. Select a season code from the list to limit this schedule to a specific rate season.

      Override. Select if you want this rule to override all others that might apply to a date or range of dates.

  3. Save or click Save and Continue to add more deposit rule schedules.

Editing a Deposit Rule Schedule

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Booking Rules and Schedules, and then select Deposit Rules Schedules.

  2. Select or confirm the Property, enter optional search criteria, and click Search.

  3. From search results, click the row level vertical ellipsis for the schedule and select Edit.

  4. Make the desired changes.

  5. Inactive. Select to make this rule schedule inactive.

  6. Click Save.

Deleting a Deposit Rule Schedule

  1. From the Administration menu, select Booking, select Booking Rules and Schedules, and then select Deposit Rules Schedules.

  2. Select or confirm the Property, enter optional search criteria, and click Search.

  3. From search results, click the row level vertical ellipsis for the schedule and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.
