Configuring Activity Types

Activities Types define the various actions you might take when creating Activities and ToDos. Activity Types are also referenced in Configuring Trace Definitions configured to automate the creation of Activities.

Adding Activity Types

When the multi-property Cloud Service is active, you can create new Activity Types by selecting the Template tab. After creating them, you can copy an Activity Type to specific properties using the Copy action. For more information, see Copying Configuration Codes to Multiple Properties.

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, select Activity Management, and select Activity Types.

  2. Click New.

  3. Select a Property.

  4. Enter an Activity Type and enter a description such as Follow up, Internal Meeting, and so on.

  5. Select an Activity Class (Appointment or ToDo) and click Select.

  6. Enter a Sequence number to indicate the ranking of this Activity Type in a list.

  7. Select the Internal check box to exclude the default Activities created for this activity type from communication with integrated systems.

  8. Click Save if finished or click Save and Continue to edit the new Activity Type immediately. At any time, you can search for an Activity Type, select the Actions ellipsis associated with it, and edit or delete it.

Editing Activity Types

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, select Activity Management, and select Activity Types.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. From your search results, click the Activity Type’s vertical ellipsis and select Edit.

  4. Make your changes.

    Note:

    Select the Inactive check box to make the Activity Type inactive. Inactive Activity Types do not appear in search results unless you click the Action’s vertical ellipsis and select Show Inactive.
  5. Click Save.

Deleting Activity Types

  1. From the Administration menu, select Client Relations, select Activity Management, and select Activity Types.

  2. Enter search criteria and click Search.

  3. From your search results, click the Activity Type’s vertical ellipsis and select Delete.

  4. Click Delete to confirm.

Note:

When the multi-property service is active, new Activity Type are created by selecting the Template tab. Once created, you can copy Activity Type to specific properties using the Copy action. For more information, see Copying Configuration Codes to Multiple Properties
